Got my gun and i dont want to charge the battery without knowing how long to charge it. i didnt get a manual with the gun so i am not sure. its a standard wall charger. I am getting a Intellect 9.6v 1800MaH battery this Friday or Saturday when it gets in. if anyone knows how long to charge that one as well. i dont want to ruin my battery so information would be very great full.

How do I charge my battery? These are the proper charging instructions for standard wall chargers, if you have an upgraded or smart charger disregard the following:
1. Find your battery’s voltage and mah number. 2. Find your charger’s voltage and mah out-put. 3. Divide the battery’s mah by the charger’s mah. 4. Multiply that quotient by 1.4.
The answer to that equation is the number of hours that battery needs to be charged on that charger. For Nickel-Cadmium batteries: always discharge your battery with a discharger (you can buy it from local hobby store) before recharging to maintain maximum battery life. WARNING! make sure you do not over charge your battery; it will kill the battery.

i just use the smart charger... when the little light turns "green"... its done! and it doesnt care what kind of battery it is or how big... [although you should "discharge" the nicad typebefor "charging"].... and skunk, i believe you're meaning a 9.6 1600mah

ok i have my Intellect battery. they guy at PB said charge it for 8 hours. judging from my stock battery it gets hot after 2 hours. and from what i hear everyone on here saying its not good to let it charge when its hot. i plugged the new one into the wall so we shall see.

I'd suggest investing in a smart charger...cause the wall chargers are not good for the intellect batteries.
PB sports does carry them.
