You won't be confined to a bunker but just FYI your goining to be slowed down a bit more then the rest of us if you carry a 249.

Lets try to keep this on topic... Now on a side note I am VERY proud of everyone who played this last Sunday... There was SEVERAL call outs.......... that is the way to go... I know of at least 3-4 call outs that took place... Again... Good job !!!!

didnt see how old this post was... but just to add some ideas... we also have a 10ft rule in reenacting where we are using real guns that are loaded with blanks... there are small pieces of brass and powder that can cause harm... although i LOVE close counter battles... i think the pistol idea is a good one... i personaly would like to be able to use a semi-auto pistol though... the scenario is that i believe that when a man draws his pistol for a close up confrontation... hes also automaticaly putting himself in the "satety" mindset that isnt just "blasting away" 20 rounds or so... if i was shot 2/3 times on this type of engagement, id be cool with that... but to "overshoot" with a semi auto, [even during a heated battle], that person is in the wrong and has no control... ive been around all types of games and real weapon training... this is how "they" do it... but i am team oriented, and understand safety issues... [still want a semi anyhow] haha... im new to airsoft style of combat and am NOT aware of the types of pistols available... gas powered ones seem to have a hell of a "first shot" power... and again, the injury... personaly, i believe the "cheap/weak" semi auto would be the ticket... i just got an idea... what if... when we pay our dues to join, , we pay a little extra and have the team furnish the "weak/auto" pistols for this purpose? since it should be MANDATORY... [pistol use that is] all of the team members that already exist would just have a "group buy" and get a butload at the first order... again im new to this sport, but like the adrenalin rush... hell im 44 yrs old and still chasing you young guys around the woods... haha.

the paintball park i went to there was a 10ft rule. then the first one who says " your dead" stays alive. if the person that is supposed to be out and didnt leave you could feel free to unload on them till they left lol.

Come as you are and have a kick behind good time. With that being said !!! There is a lot of good disc ussion here. I think the ground rules are pretty well in place.. We can go from there as the situation arises. No matter what rule we make there will always be CLOSE FIRE encounters where a guy is walking around and meets up with another player and you get the living nuts scared out of you and each lets loose with a burst. I myself though that i was always cautious enough but Tyler was dug into a tree line and I was listening to the sound of his fire try ing to figure out where he was I ended up gett ing wi thin 10 ft of him and he popped up and we both got the shiat scared out of us both releasing a quick burst.. Mine just so happened to take place as I was falling back covering my face. Point it... Take extra care and take the extra step in calling people out if you can. It will save pain, blood and overall injury by doing so. I understand there are times where it " Just happens " as stated above but always be vigilant.

I know this is an old post, but with all the new players , this might be a good idea, have like a sighn with rules and engagement rues stuff like that.. also on the thought i was think like if you with in the 20-25 ft range, just the two opponets have a knife battle who get hitt first is hit or killed.., just a thought so that way no one could get hurt.

I'd rather just shoot someone with my AEP

I don't think a knife battle is a good idea, people might just get into arguments. Like "I knifed you first". "No I did". "No, I did". etc.
Pistol or just calling them out is just easier in my opinio.

I like the side arm Idea the best. I just haave a fairly cheap springer pistol but it should get the job done in close quarters. not as effective as an aep but if i was able to get the jump on someone it could do well

I agree on this, an idea I had was if your concious about the MED when your approching an enemy, fire around their feet or at their boots as like a warning saying, your dead, you know?

If you do that you might have some who's not exactly close enought to call you out shoot around your legs and be ticked because you didn't take the hit.
I know I would be a bit ticked off if someone shot around my boots and told me I was out.

I see, well another idea I saw was to just call out a "safety kill" when your in the MED, saw that on the South Carolina airsoft forums, and thought that was a good idea, but then that poses the problem still of not thinking about that when your in a fight you know? In the heat of battle are you going to remember to do that? And then I guess you can say "well your going to have to or else you can't play here" but you know...
