ok at our feild.. Theres alot of what im going to refer to as with a notorious word "fatal funnels" things learned from paintball have also come in handy for airsoft.. For instance.. When an enemy has a blind spot "meaning they cant see you" but is completley exposed to your line of fire... Per say running or moving up or sitting in a stationary position.. This is called lane shooting... So say they are running and dont see you and you can get a shot on them.. Just shoot a burst until you hit them basically they are suppose to run through in this case what would be your bbs and then get hit.. And that can then lead to a "fatal funnel" if more than a few kills are scored in that manner.. Which by the looks of are feild could happen quite often.. Learning to switch hands with your gun will help alot.. Not trying to turn things into paintsoft but this is affective!

another thing which i think would make a good practice drill is affective suppression of targets cuz you cant always rely on your saw or support gunner to do that for you..

ok man ill tell you what.. This is in paintball what we call snapping Its actually a simple drill that can be transitioned over to airsoft.. In combat they do weird things like count the seconds it takes until the enemy sticks there head up again.. See with airsoft and this drill witch is referred to in paintball as snap shooting.. How it would work in airsoft is like so.. Ok you have to indiviuals behind cover.. Could be low, could be tall, could be high, anyways peeking out with your rifle from either the top end of the cover or a side of the cover.. Eith right or left, low or high, so your shooting at eachother.. Ok and what you try to do is guess there next move and out smart them.. They go high you go low.. They go right and low you go left and low.. It would be easier to explain at the feild.. But its a drill that can work..

another thing with affective suppression... I dont know if anyone ever played full spectrum warrior when ps2 was still hot but that game is all about affective suppression and target elimination.. I think sumthing to practice would be suppression and flanking if we could effectivley flank while suppressing i think that would be a big advantage for our team... As well as practicing stacking up and room breaching and clearing.. Some bigger games require these skills.. Like irene.. Lion claws...

Darth no worries. Some days I feel like I suck to. I am no way as good as most of the command staff. Remember this is for fun. And I think of no one as a drag on a team. They are shooting at you and me. Not just me in that case you are not a downer alone. Play for fun, find out what works, find out what doesn;t work. It all comes with playing more and taking mental note.
Where do you get hit the most? Why? When you see yourself on the videos that get posted check your hugging of cover. LEarn the feild. LEarn you. And don't worry so much. It all comes with time man. I think everyone learns alittle something when they walk off the field.

you know darth wolf has a very good point.. Its not about how many times you got shot out... How many hits you took... How many times you forgot to check your corners.. Its about going out there and having a good time with freinds... Its about giving it your all and takeing your frustrations and leaving them all out on the feild.. Its about playing for the love of the game.. So dont feel bad when you get shot out we all take our hits.. We all have our days.. But its when we learn from our mistakes and fix them that we get better.. Practice makes perfect.. Watch videos, learn! Read! Read! Read! We dont become rambos overnight... I have had experience prior to airsoft with paintball.. I dont know about you? But it may take awhile to get to the level some of these guys are at.. But dont beat yourself up over it.. No one is going to judge you...

As for seeing the enemy. Darth. I. Ran. To. A. Bunker. With. A. Guy. Behind. It. -lol- you aren't the only one guy. My trick is ask yourself. Where would I hide? That and Most people on the feild do the same thing every game. For instance. I run path closest the hill in the weeds. Why? Almost everyone goes to that one box bunker...
Once again though Darth you're good man. Just have fun. Don't be so hard on yourself when You've got a 50 round magazine in a gas gun, taking on guys with AEG's on the field. You could be the best player in the world and that would be hard. You've got balls man. Relax.

I agree with what those guys are saying. Its not about how many kills you get. Just have fun. If you want to try something different, try experimenting with different styles of play /roles on the field. For example when first began coming to butler years ago i couldn't get a kill ti save my life. I was playing straight assault at the time. Then i started bringing smaller weapons out to the field and turned into a more stealth/assault hybrid. This began ti work for me as i would move slower and avoid enemy detectiin while being able to get kills. Eventually i oursued thjs further and became a sniper which is where I excelled on the field. At one point i suddenly switched back to an assault role and i think i went like 2 months without a kill.
So in a nutshell maybe try some different tactics from your normal play and see if you can find something you excel at.

plus you gotta remember this. we;ve been shooting with each other a long time. we know each others strong points. I'm shoot move, shoot move looking for a flank yelling out opfor positions, I know dave has long ball covered, I know koyote is our light weight through the brush sneak attack guy, i know sacha will put many rounds down field. so if dave can keep the hill at bay, sacha can spit bb's down the middle and I can keep attention on me by shoot move. koyote is already at the opponemts base getting ready to go in pistol drawn. Make sense?

Well with the weapon that you use i'd suggest looking at the recon position, it's what Ferratus and I mainly run but I plan on switching back to a support gunner. But any way since your gun only holds 30 rounds in the mag I think being the one to sneek into the brush and call out enemy positions out on the radio, you can also stalk players during this role, or you could become are medic. It's all up to you how you wanna play.

Man if i didnt get shot out would the game be any fun?? Likewise were all walking targets when were out there... Each one waiting for that one screaming bb with his or her name on it... Are numbers gunna b up at some point.. Some people have times where they go months without taking a hit.. Trust me i know from experience.. But sooner or later your guna bite that bb.. And its just the nature of the beast man... So remember you get shot.. I get shot... We all get shot... But were getting shot together.. By eachother.. Which is fun... So dont sit there and beat your self over the head with a stick becuase your not at the level you want to be at right now.. You want it? Earn it! Work for it! Play the people who are better than you... Challenge people to one on ones... Thats something i havent seen done at butler yet.. It doesnt matter how many rounds your gun can put down range.. Learn to adapt...

Yeah yeah I know it's supposed to be about haveing fun. And don't get me wrong I do. But I want to up the level of my game. And wolf they are 30 rounders not 50. I think you are thinking too much into it..... seriously. I remember being soo pissed off a couple of times I was ready to quit playing all together. Just like the real world..... except this is not but you have to treat yourself to the 2 out of the 3 m's. Mind vs muscle. That being said I learned a lot over the years. I have been playing since 2006 and there are still days when I play that I cannot hit squat and get killed in the first 5 min it happens. Never give up and try not to get frustrated. You will learn... On a side note... I cannot remember what your GBB was shooting.. wasnt it something like 250 or 280 fps ? if that is the case the first thing you need to do is remedy that situation. That is a good FPS for CQB but NOT for a field gun....

if they had a velocity adjuster in airsoft and kept it at the same fps rules, i think that it would send airsoft to a whole new level... Then you could buy a tokyo marui and turn it from 285 or 230 fps whatever is the standard in japan and europe and asia to whatever your feild regs are.. And when someone wants to buy an american made gun like a kwa.. Then they can keep it at the fps they want it or the feild rules allow so that eliminates the need for cqb guns because every gun is now considered cqb freindly.. It can be done.. With the use of a stronger spring.. And a bit of enginuity.. To develop a velocity adjuster..
