Hey guys I was wanting to replace the factory plastic flash hider with a metal one more so the plastic wont break if out playing. I was planning on wrapping the end with orange tape, but I need to remove the factory one first. Has anyone replace theres? And if so how hard was it to remove? I was playing with mine tonight and stopped so I would not break it.Let me know what you think.
Thanks Matt

what style is it? i just got the all metal JG "navy" that comes with a scope mount but no scope... it has the big "release lever" type of flash hider that goes over the 3 lug barrel end... its real hard not to break them as they are glued in place... [they were removable, but then they glued the lever in place so you cant remove it] i dont know why, the barrel end has the required orange tip on it too... if its this style, the lever is pushed down and the top flips out... the top of the lever just sits up and under the top roll pin, the lower pin goes thru the lever [an oval shaped hole which is spring loaded]... i would say try to use a screwdriver and hammer to tap the top of the lever down so as to break the glue that keeps you from being able to remove it... me and my brother both broke ours... we got the cheap all black plastic one for 6.00... then i painted the orange tip on them...

I heard you just put the flashhider in hot water, and then it melts the glue off the screws.

depends on the style... the ones you're talkin about are like the M4 style of birdcage with the set screws in the bottom right?... im talking about the lever type that fits over the end of the 3 lug barrel...

Hey gasgunner I found it for 13.00 bucks out on west coast, however when I ordered it with shipping came to 25.00. You can get it from Airsplat for 24.00 or close to that with shipping. I didnt think shipping would be that much. Hey I was wondering what gun you have thats posted on the BIA bio page.

the M4 style is different than the MP5 style... MP5's usualy break if its the "flip-lever" kind.
