ok...i know this might not be the right place to post it but i want some professional thoughts...i have a friend that bought a d boys m4(broken) for 15 bucks... he fixed it and such and i offered him 45 dollars for it considering it is older, heavily used, and rigged together. I don't know a lot about this stuff but he seems to think it is worth 110 as is when the gun brand new in good shape was 150...i may be wrong but i would think that with use, the fact it's broken half the time(like that d**n m14 of mine), rigged together and older that it isn't worth that much.

If he gets that amount it will be nothing short of a miracle.... Depending on how jerry rigged it is .....

I wouldn't even give him $10.00 for it...just do yourself a favor and go to PB sports they will hook you up..

well the gun works is the thing and the only rigging is the battery attachment...it's just it's used old and has battle scars...and i went to pb for my last gun (an echo 1 m15...it's actually a m16 a4 but the chinese don't know how to label guns) ...i just thought i'd check for the sheer fact that he is an idiot that knows more about internal airsoft mechanics than economics.

(an echo 1 m15...it's actually a m16 a4 but the chinese don't know how to label guns) I believe they do that so they won't get sued, and it is actually a M16A3. A4 has the Tri-Burst. The A3 has FA. Good pick on the gun though. They look nice.

alright first of all my friend failed to mention some important parts. when i got it the kid knew nothing of repairs and it turned out only to be missing some screws, have a bad battery, and have a disconnected wire. the gun was bought around july and was only used in three airsoft matches so its not heavily used or old. the only rig is a little zip tie in the ris rail part to help keep the battery firmly in the ris since i don't have a battery box. i am getting a new 8.4 volt 1100 mah(i think is mah) and a $15 extra mag. The only reason he wants it so low is cause the kid sold it cheap to me but he only did that cause he thought the motor or gearbox was messed up miserably and had no idea how to maintain it very well. i also did a little touch up with paint to the gun to get ride of some of the scratches. with all this in mind i just thought that id be able to get 100 or 110 out of a full metal dboys m4 ris.

really nomercy?....that gun isn't worth 110 after he pulled the trigger the first time and it is to beat up...the flash hider is completely smashed off and the course of time that the gun was used is obviously off because i bought the m14 in july and the m4 was already being used then...and furthermore the battery is a significant amount of the price and u said 110 as is and 150 once you got the battery and clip...and even so that the rigging is just the battery...which i stated...it still shouldn't be the gun isn't designed to work like that so it is still a shortcomming...and even if you paint over the scratches they are still there...no matter how much paint u cake on they will still be there....

Well, too be honest if you wanted to sell it to your friend you shouldn't have told him you paided $15 total for the gun, since your asking for 110.00 from the way it's being described your buddy would be over paying still if he gave you $45 for the gun.
airsoft guns honestly don't carry any value.
Lets not let this topic get out of hand.

Like Koyote said dont let it get out of hand.
On the flip side.. The only thing that will keep it at least IMHO at the price you want it is that if you have some serious upgrades..........
IE : Internal .
I have bought and sold many weapon systems over the years along with a lot of guys on this board and you can expect to get half the amount or a little over for a weapon that is used ...... that is half of the total amount.
The problem you have is while you only asking 110 ... that is only 40 dollars short of a NEW system.. from experience I would just go out and pay the extra 40 for a new untouched weapon.

there lies a bigger problem though. when i told him it was fixed he offered 45 for it and i told him i did NOT want to sell it so i don't even know y he posted this.
