So I'm trying to remove the stock flash hider on my JG G36C (as you can tell from the title) and I just can't get it off. I completely unscrewed the screw at the bottom of it and I tried the hair dryer trick to melt the glue. I get the flash hider hot enough to make the paint bubble, but when I try to unscrew it, it just won't budge. Any suggestions? I want to put a longer barrel in it with a silencer instead of the flash hider, but if I can't get the flash hider off.... I might try the boiling water trick that is online but I don't know why that would work better than the hair dryer.

look closely... there may be a little "pin" thats driven into the side... should be in the same area of the flash hider that the screw is on the bottom... look on the side... its a pain in the butt to get out to say the least.... some of my guns had it and some didnt.... it will look like a little black dot... about the size of a needle thats just pressed in if its there... other than that, i never had to use heat or boiling water to get mine off... but i did break the large clip on style that came on my JG MP5... ... it had superglue on the little clip thats on the flash hider... hope this helps you...

G36's flash hinders are a pain in the butt, i've yet to hear anyone being able to remove one without ruining the outter barrel or completely destroying the flash hider. I'd suggest just leave it on there and either spray paint it or use a black marker.
Kid would be the one to ask...I think he removed his once but it was no picnic.

Thanks for the great advice guys. Sadly, Koyote's prophecy came to pass as I broke both the battery/fuse assembly and the outer barrel assembly. I didn't even get the flash hider off. It appears to have been chromed on there... I'm going to have to replace both parts but in case anyone else has this problem, you can buy replacements for both, and it'll run you about $40 without shipping.
