So I still want to bring my AEG instead of my dads springer to matches, but the cold makes your batteries dormant.
I was told that if I bought some hand warmers and taped them to my battery it would work.
Anyone have any opinions on if this is a good or bad idea? Don't want to make a newb mistake.

LOL... no such thing as a noob mistake. You are on the right path asking before doing. Yes and NO... in the winter obviously your batteries are going to suffer. During our winter games each of us usually bring an extra as they will NOT last as long. The hand warmer thing ...---> i am not sure anyone has done tests on it but it does seem to help. We all do it in the winter if that tells you anything. It would even seem to work better if you can shove them puppies in next to the battery. You will see everyone will have their stocks , peq boxes taped up with them during the winter games. They are about 2 dollars for 6 I think at wally world.

Good enough for me. I think I can fit them snug up against my battery. My battery is in my handguard so there is chance it could fit. Thanks.
