Seeing the BC2 review, I noticed that some of you play some great war games. I've played BC2 and I found it fun. I've played all COD games COD4+.
So I'm going to do a review on the latest COD game.
Pros:
1. Campaign: Of course the campaign for Black Ops is fun and exciting. Unique and action-packed. Most COD games are known for their great single-player campaigns.
2. Customization: Black Ops offers an immense amount of options to customize your gun, guy, and gear.
3. Zombies!!!!: COD is also known for it's Nazi Zombies. Black Ops further expands this great name by bringing in 2 different maps, an arcade style map, various in-game options (such as the teleporter, turrets, perks, and weapon upgrades), and also a new box system.
Cons:
1. Multiplayer: Yes, I said it. The first and foremost problem with Black Ops is its Multiplayer. COD is usually known for it's intense and thrilling, groundbreaking multiplayer experiences, but, in my opinion and the opinion of everyone I've talked with, Black Ops has lost that touch. Sniping is obsolete, light machine guns are a thing of the past, and if your not using an assault rifle or sub-machine gun your life will end quick.
2. Maps: In the Campaign you are brought to many unique and thrilling places. The maps are fantastic, but the creators failed to take those unique places into the multiplayer. Instead those great maps are traded for small and crowded maps full of spawn killing and suicidal nerd-raging.
3. System Lag?: All of us that game know that your screen isn't exactly like your opponent's screen. To explain, sometimes you think you turned a corner fast enough to evade enemy fire, but in-fact on your opponent's screen you didn't make it. You usually notice this in the Death Screen thingy. When you die you see how you died. Black Ops seems to increase its delay between different players. Thus, making it an even more suicidal nerd-raging area. (And it isn't my internet, I don't lag. I have rather fast internet and my connection is always green. My friends also experience this, so if your against this opinion, don't say that lag is the suspect here.)
Overall Rating: 3.8/5
For the reasons that the campaign and zombies is great, but the bulk of your time is spent on multiplayer and Black Ops is lacking in that area.
Thank you for reading.
