The AEG in question is this one:

I just recently got this and have been having problems from the start with it. I contacted airsoftgi about it(where I ordered it from) but they have been of no help and the shipping to return it was ridiculous. But, to the current problem.
After some minor feeding issues with the auto-feeding box mag(which works quite well), The range was pretty bad and shot roughly around 60-70 ft. While adjusting the hop-up it did nothing to effect the range regardless of which way I moved it. So, I disassembled it and got into the hop-up unit and the nub was just about useless. I did not have an extra one on hand so I cut a piece off of the end of a tube inside of a pen(the one that hold the ink) just a tad longer than what the original nub was. I reassembled everything and went to test fire the m60. It was dark out by the time I got done, but I just wanted to make sure it still fired after disassembling everything. So, I was not able to see if the range was effected by the modified new nub.
Regardless of the range being effected or not, I shot roughly around 100 bb's through it and the gun quit shooting altogether(seems like something electrical is not engaging). But, when I pull the trigger it just makes a click sound(from where the top of the trigger hits a thin metal piece that pushes up on the bottom of the gearbox.
I have already checked the battery just to make sure and that is not the issue. The box magazine still feeds up the tube and functions as intended, so that is not the issue either.
Since this problem has occurred I have taken the m60 apart close to 10 times to check and make sure all the electrical is plugged in(as far I know) where it should be.
Sorry for the long story leading up to the problem but I did not want to leave out any details that may have lead to the problem.
I would rather not take it in and have someone work on it to pay more money on a gun that I have already spent close to 400$ on and have to wait for the turn around time, as I have only had this gun for a couple weeks(the problem happened within the first 5 days of owning it). It's just really frustrating spending that amount of money on something to have it not working properly out of the box, I know it is more than likely someway my fault for doing something when I disassembled it but that would not have happened had the hop-up properly functioned.
Any ideas or help on what the issue is?
Thanks in advance!
