I want to switch from a 9.6v numchuck nimh style to a 7.4v buffer tube sized LiPo but I am concerned about the drop in the ROF and I don't want to go up to a 11.1v. My gun is already wired to the rear but uses a crane stock. I want to go to something like a MOE stock but have no room to put a batt. So my question out of all of this is. How much of a drop is it really going to be?

I'll wait for all the gun tech guys to answer but according to my understanding there should be no ROF drop. 7.4 Lipo is about equivalent to a 9.6 Nimh

I run a 11.1V Lipo and a 7.4v. The 7.4 is close enough to a 9.6v, that I don't notice a change in the rate of fire.

From a couple pages of research and supporting what Reaper said. 7.4 lipo = 9.6 NiMh

There is very little drop in rof, but if you use a MosFet in combination with the 7.4 lipo, you will actually get an increase.

if you get the moe stock you can always get an outer gun battery holder and run a 10.8 nimh wit a high mah.
