Thinking about getting a UAR before the year is out. It looks like an awesome gun. Planned on trying to build it into a DMR platform when I get the money. Comes stock 6.05 barrel, hybrid version 3 gearbox, and 385mm inner barrel. Probably going to get a 9.6v 1600mah stick and a nuts ton of ammo. But lately I've heard complaints about the gears and pistons stripping because of the spring catching in the gearbox, not sure if its just a few lemons or if APS built an awesome gun with mediocre internals. If that's the case, their price should be lowered a lot. Thoughts?

In my experience, the handful of APS guns I have worked on have crap internals. The most recent APS gun I have worked on is the Black Ops M4 they sell at wal-mart. With that gun they did change from using plastic bushings to metal ones but all the other crap parts were still present. Every APS gun shares the same internal parts as far as I can tell whether it be a budget gun or their fancy EBB AK.
