Base VFC / Umarex 416C - PolarStar Fusion Engine V2 GEN 3
- Redline Firebase Air Rig
- Firefly - Namazu Flat Hop Nub with Roller Bar
- ORGA - Magnus 6.23mm Barrel (363mm)
- Prometheus - Hopup Soft Bucking (Purple)
- ProWin - M4 Chamber
- Redline Grip Connect
- G&G - SS-100 Silencer - Foam lined - (inner barrel just barely enters the banana, seems to actually make a difference in the rifle report)
- Echo1 55mm barrel extension (also have a 33mm to shorten it up - brings inner barrel almost to the end of the SS-100)
- Magpul XTM Hand Stop Kit
- Magpul ASAP Sling Plate
Above the rifle is the original 416C stock. The battery and FCU wouldn't both fit in the short tube due to the extra FCU cabling. I had to steal the buffer tube and stock from my 416CQB to put the FCU and battery in for the time being, until I get a shorter FCU data cable (or I may get a different stock / buffer tube). Did some quick chronoing at 100PSI and some base FCU settings, and it's doing about ~330fps with .20's (~.98 to 1.01 Joule), and ~315fps with .25's (~1.15 Joule). Calculation is 19RPS, but I have it programmed to 3 round burst instead of full auto. I'm fairly happy with the current settings, but I'd like to get the same results out of 80PSI, to be more HPA efficient. Planning on taking it out to the in-laws on Friday to tune in the hop and see what the effective range is.

Based on what I have seen on other setups. I would recommend getting a 45deg connector for your airline. Keeps it closer to your arm.

Yeah, I would not change a thing. Trust me, you do not need to be more efficient. I was shooting 80PSI at wounded warrior and I shot close to a bottle of .28's (2700 rds) and I used a total of 1300PSI of my tank. I use a 68 cubic inch tank that fills to 4500PSI max. I think I saw earlier that you have a 90 cubic inch tank? If you do, you could probably shoot around 8,000 rounds. If you went from 100 to 80 PSI, you may get a few more shots but you will never need that unless you are running a support weapon. Personally, unless you are playing CQB like indoors or what not, I would think you may want to acquire another nozzle an try to get closer to 400FPS. Most fields allow infantry to shoot 400. Just my 2 cents.

Oh, and I just noticed your barrel. If you want better efficiency, you really should go with a tighter bore barrel. A 6.23 is pretty big. I run a 6.03. You would gain some air efficiency there because less air would be allowed around the BB in your barrel.

Yeah, I will admit, I have a flat hope with a tight barrel and it doesn't seem to work well. I may need to get an r or h hop because my flat hop goes from having a slight drop off to putting so much spin on the bb tht it goes straight upward. There is no in between. I'm not sure if that is due to a messed up flat hop or whether it just doesn't work well with the tight barrel. I have not time to figure it out.

How are those .32? I have been thinking of running them in my lm4. It seems to over hop .25s.

Tried to dial the hop in tonight, and I seem to be having some consistency problems. Every 4-5 shots I get a flyer that hops way high or low. I can hit a tree stump about ~200ft out about 6 out of every 10 shots (with .25's), though it should be bit tighter with .28's. I added another o-ring between the hop and outer barrel to try to solve the accuracy issue (will try to test tomorrow), and still don't have my big bore hose yet (the Amped player kit came with a different 6mm nylon hose), so that should help too.

Waiting on 2 more parts (shorter FCU data cable and low flow poppet), but it's pretty much complete:

How are those .32? I have been thinking of running them in my lm4. It seems to over hop .25s. The 32's are amazing. I measured out exactly 150' and set up a small TV box. It is slightly larger than a persons torso. I was hitting it about 4-5 times every 10 shots with .2's. I went to .32's and I was easily hitting it 7 if not 8 times out of 10 with zero other changes. The heavier BB's really fly truer. My only gripe is they are brown and they are a little hard to pick up in flight to adjust subsequent shots. Thirsty: love the set up! I know you will dig the p*. I have played 3 big scenario games so far this year and I live it. The crisp trigger response rocks. My hop up is still not set right and I have to lob some of my longer shots but the system itself is great.

Good to hear. I have been wanting to try them in my lm4. It over hops even .28. As for the brown. That is the benefit of havering a "zeroed" optic. I say "zeroed" because no airsoft gun is ever going to be a true zero.
