Looking for something that would be light, and easy to breath through and be easy to communicate through while also protecting me to use as a lower face mask. Wondering If there is anything good out there like that and where i may find it.

I have one of the metal mesh lowers. I like it. Especially the first time I found a dent in it where my teeth would have been. They are super cheap and light weight. I have my straps modded to fit the rails on my helmet.

I'm okay with my sniper veil, which is simuliar to the shemagh and it is okay for feild, but in a CQB enviroment I would look into a mask. Dont need my teeth shot out. The one that Darth wears and uses is pretty standard and I highly recommand it more then a neoprene mask that I used to use. I have also thought about using a full mouth gaurd but... communication can be harder.

I ran one of these this summer on the field with a SISU mouth guard, but the mouth guard made it fairly hard to communicate clearly on the radio. I wouldn't use it in a CQB situation. I picked up one of these for cold weather / CQB as it has a bamboo filter in the front, which is tougher than the neoprene but breaths well. Can't go wrong with a mesh mask though, as long as you can find one that can flex enough to adjust, and fits your eye protection well.
