I finally decided to add a shotgun to my collection. Wanted a compact but intimidating, not light weight, all metal, gas powered shotgun. All that combined gets you the Double Barreled Beefcake Mad Max sawn-off. Airsplat's info on this shotty is as follows:
Hwasan Double Barrel Gas Airsoft Shotgun
Specifications:
- Velocity: 290 fps (0.2 g BB) / Range 80-90 feet
- Barrel Length: 11.5 inches / 29 cm
- Magazine Capacity: 7 Rounds
Features:
- Break Action
- Metal and Wood Construction
- Two Shells Included
- Made in Taiwan
Not far off I haven't gotten a legitimate chrono on it so I'll take their word for it. The range they've given also seems a bit far but with this shotgun I'm not expecting to be shooting that far anyways. Green gas powered gives it the power it needs but with all those bb's flying at once kinda prevents from giving all the power it could have.
As for the shells alone... good design. The bb's load into the top of the shell. To load the gas you split the shell and fill it into the nozzle on the inside. When the shells are loaded they act just like a real shell and the triggers hit the "primer" and expels the gas and shoots bb's in a nice sometimes tight spread. You can choose to shoot either left or right or both.
Due to the trigger guard it can be difficult to due at the same time, and sometimes the shells don't have a quick trigger response when trying to shoot both. sometimes you have to hold them till they shoot... kinda like a flintlock and your waiting for the powder to light. This is definitely one of those guns i'll have to feild test and review as we go. So hopefully one of you all will be the lucky one I get to go double shells on someone haha.
