So I bought an Echo 1 M249 SAW from Reaper, and it doesn't work, which is understandable he had it in a closet for awhile. The mag works, but the hopup adjuster seems frozen solid, and when you pull the trigger with a battery in there is no acknowlegement that you did anything. i know nothing baout rewiring these things but it sounds initially like a electrical problem or short, maybe a fuze. Anyone know enough to take a look at it for me?

Ive rebuilt my 249 a couple times the barrel you have was once mine I was want ing to trade him the mill barrel but you got to it first. Anyway check the fuse if thats ok then your trigger switch went out I'd have to look at it myself to be sure.

Did some trouble shooting and got the thing up and running, ran some different wires to the battery and replaced the fuze, the box mag only has the problem of not feeding on auto mode, this is common and I have no problem with it, I now have to think I'm loosing compression somewhere the BBs are dropping way short time to redo the o-rings tommorrow.
Sorry man but the short barrel rocks on this thing. I'd be hard pressed to give it up.

Sorry koyote I absolutely hate the standard barrel on the SAW. Thanks for the offer, but If I do bring this baby shes only a backup to my M60 so hopefulyl I have time to get her fixed up and running good as new SUPPORT WEAPONS ROCK ........ If used properly that is. Support Gunners need to understand there job inside and out. They are part of thebasse of fire not the menuaver group, they must be a solid point of cover and fallback, and always keep their gun running, it is their job. I understand this and love this role. Any good gunner will train an Assistent Gunner, as tunnel vision can get your rear end if you don't have someone to snap you out of it, plus help keep base offire while reloading. Proper posistioning of the weapons platform and knowlege of how your team you are supporting operates is a skill in itself and must be practiced for optimum performance, radio communications and self awareness is also needed as the team calls in for support from different directions. I know my job, I love my job, I love the gear. To many people don't understand how to use a Support Weapon and thus in the end end up lugging around a 23lb AEG. Good luck staying sharp after that much weight for more then an hour. I have requested for May 26th off I would love to train with you guys and show you what a support gunner can do. As for other support weapons Sasha will soon have an LAW that I will make for the team, tanks will be his job. Soon we could have a pretty welly geared out team, if allowed to join, still waiting for verification from work that I will have sundays off this summer. They may still be donkeys on the subject of my day off. Hope for the best.

Gangnail-Command Found some stuff, my results show that this is gonna almost have to be trial and error. Find radios, then try headgear for them even if it fits the radio I have found crossmatching headsets cause dumb errors. Still digging myself will crossmatch results when you post. Also got a couple guys with the right mindset for sniper/DM/Recon we can see how they do latter in the sesson. Koyote I ment no offense although that sounded preachy... my bad man, glade you switched, some people don't ever admit they aren;t suited for the role but never switch and weigh down a team. I apologize if any offense was taken was not my intent. Bored at college writting to much.
