www.airsoft2day.com/news/26-the-basic-physics-of-airsoft.htmlThis is a good read on the physics of airsoft. All I am trying to say is range and accuracy in an airsoft rifle is determined by how well all aspects of the gun are set up. Any change in barrel lengths, diameters, etc. All have an effect on how the gun shoots. It goes on to mention in this article above that having too much or not enough air volume behind the BB has a negative affect on the shot. The polar star has an easy way to adjust for this along with every other aspect of how the gun shoots. I know I am being way to nerdy on this, I am just trying to justify my choice in the polar star.

Sorry to keep babbling on......but here is another excellent read on the Polar Star. It addresses most of the misunderstandings of the platform and its capabilities. The bottom of the article copies some info straight from the Polar Star's site and I like the description of "Open Bolt" vs "Closed Bolt". I run my gun exclusively on closed bolt. www.tnairsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=24626
