Help!! Does anyone know how to fix a motor from striping out the gear box. Recently my galil has been malfunctioning while I was at the field. Not sure why it is doing it? I took it apart to were I found the gear box but quit while I was ahead. I'm not much of a fix-it-frank when it comes to airsoft. If anyone could help disassemble/ fix the problem that would be nice, it is my only weapon until my m60 gets fixed so this is sorts a big deal for me but doesn't mean I'm in a hurry, which I am not! Please contact me if you know how or what to do?

90% positive this is a motor depth issue. All you need to do is adjust the motor hieght. I had that model of gun Great! but the motor slips.

It appears your right, the gear that connects to the motors gear is pushed up to wear it can no longer make contact, but I still have no idea on how to get into the gear box?

Wait... Let me process this. The gear (pinion) from the motor, the spur on the end of it, is fully extended? And not makeing contact with the gearbox? If this is a motor mount issue you shouldnt have to get into the gearbox. At the bottom of the motor, accessed under your pistol grip, there should be a screw. If you tighten that you move the motor higher into the gearbox and make it so the spur on the motor makes contact again with the gearbox. To fix this you need to tighten the motor into the gearbox, have a battery plugged in and while tightening listen and make sure you are not grinding the gearbox. See this is why I need the job at PB sports. If you try this and it doesnt work let me know. I will try to make time to look at it, but the ICS is a good gun to practice tuning motor positions on. It's how I learned. There is nothing you can really do to fix this permenantly on this gun, so this will become common maitnence, and something you should get used to doing. Please do not. DO NOT! get into your gearbox if you do not know what to do, not without some kind of tech sitting with you. Get back to me.

Ok we'll I tried your idea and all I can say is that I would be better off with someone who could do this better than I could, cause I have no clue in what I should do..
