After doing some reading on the internet, I came across a post which linked to the manufacturer of the IR Hop material. I decided to get some of the tubing to mess with as a winter project, and I'm going to have plenty of material left over. My plan is to keep the material with me when I'm out at the field in 2 inch pieces, so if anyone wants some, hit me up when I'm there. No charge. If anyone wants some of the material to mess with before next season PM me, and I'll mail some 2 inch sections out for $2 though PayPal.
That may sound high, but just mailing a letter costs like $100 in postage now; it'd probably be 2 stamps worth of weight, but either way it's much cheaper than the HSA kit.
I'm still looking into the M Nub material, but from what I understand, they can be created with bits of an eraser.

Got a piece of that in today to investigate, and it seems like some sort of slice from a rubber hose. Going to see if I can figure out that material too.

Where did you source the material for the IR-Hop?

Where did you source the material for the IR-Hop? Item # 51135K17 from McMaster-Carr. I picked up semi-clear blue, but it's just a color preference, the material is all the same.

I am going to toss this out to you to experiment with. I am working now to increase window size on a barrel to longer than normal. Putting more r-hop material on the bb hoping to increase distance while still keeping excellent accuracy. Now this is not an ER-hop, but just maybe another 1/8" of window. I did notice on a barrel with a very short window the r-hop patch dod almost nothing to improve the gun. This got me to thinking that maybe patch being abit longer from standard will actually HELP improve distance. (Just a theory right now, but I think it will work.)
Also, thank you for the part number. I will try this.
