About March I purchased an ICS Mp5 A4 from Airsplat.com.
Received it no problems. About 1 month later the motor went out in it. Of course being a noob we had already painted the tip black ( It stuck out like a sore thumb in the woods ) and Airsplat would not accept it back due to this.
THEY DID however say they would repair the gun but in the policies it stated that they would not take back guns without the orange tip.
So long story short we ordered a new motor Exact same one ( Turbo 2000 ICS ) . Installed and it worked fine for awhile. Then the gun stopped working all together and we noticed that it sounded like it was grinding.
Upon cracking open the gearbox we found that the bevel gear appeared to be chewed up a bit so we decided to order a new gear box set. It was installed and the gun worked for one scrimmage and I think the motor went bad again for some uknown reason. Anyways we decided not to screw with it again and sold it on ebay.
Speed up to this last month.
Having the problems with had with the ICS mp5 A4 we decided to order a Airsoft Elite Mp54.....
Received it last week and it worked great..............for about 30 rounds and the crappy motor went out again. Pulled it out tested it and sure as nuts it was fried. This was a Turbo 3000.
So now we are waiting for Airsplat to decide what we are going to do next but I can tell you that if we get another Mp5 A4 from ICS or Airsoft Elite ( Souped up ICS ) and it screws up my brother in law is going to have a Heart Attack. !!!
In my opinion STAY AWAY FROM THE ICS Mp5 A4.......
I have a tacticle carbine Classic Army, No problems ... My Brother in law has a Mp5 SD5 No problems, Another one our players has the new AK from ICS no problems, another player has the Airsoft Elite Tacticle Carbine ( ICS ) no problems and our last player has a G3 Classic Army no problems so with the logic of deduction I would say that the Mp5 A4 is good for nothing more than a paper weight.
