Hi, as of now I just own a spring pistol. However, if I join the team obviously I'm going to need something better, so I'm thinking about getting a Classic Army G3SG1: www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1781I've been looking at this rifle for awhile, and it seems quite impressive. Has anyone had hands on experience with it? Thanks, Nathan

I will try and dig up some information for you regarding this weapon.
I can however tell you that I just sold my CA Tact carbine for almost 400 dollars used..( Lot of upgrades ) .
I have seen recently a lot of places are giving New Classic Army buyers a 60 day warranty which is unheard of. Most only give 30 days but then again they are a reputable company
I havent had crap wrong with my CA and have beaten the poopy out of it when playing... I would stand by Classic Army. Mark one of our players has the G36 model and to my knowledge hasnt had any problems with his either.

Thanks for the reviews... This really looks like a great gun. I've been researching it for a long while, and still haven't found many negatives about it. The only things I'm concerned about are:
1. Gearbox Type 2 - Are Type 2 Gearbox's decent? Or would I need to upgrade immediately.
2. Length - This baby is long. This is my only real concern about getting it. I'm only 5'11", and he gun's like 3'5". Do you guys think it would be too long for me to maneuver with?

The gearbox version 2 is a good box. Some estimates put it at around 350 fps... I say its more like 310 ... Easy to work on. That is the gearbox that we started out working on.
The version 3 gearbox is the newest one that they have just come out with and I am not sure that CA even has a 3 yet.
As far as length o buddy lol you bet your butt its long... The G36 that Mark has is VERY long.... However as a true replica it keeps to its length and make... Some people like longer guns some dont. Its really a preference.
